Happy Tuesday Morning Everyone

Howdy there!  It's been a while since I've been the first one up and starting the morning post.  First up........heck, I haven't even been to bed yet!  I got home from a full day of fun in Sacramento and taking Rhonda to the airport and managed to get called in to work.  I swear it was only 10 minutes I was home before the phone rang.  I'm up here in Burney pulling the night shift.   It wouldn't be so bad if I was actually anticipating communicating with my bed and teddy bear but..........  Nooooooooo I have to go down to the *&($%(*$% court house and pull a stint of Jury Duty.  How messed up is that? 

The big bosses will be in here in about 1/2 an hour and I get to race down the hill, shower and head to the court house. 

I've kept myself busy this night by making some maps until the antiquated machine broke.  I then cleaned up some, ordered supplies (I have a doctorate in spending other people's money) and just puttering.

Missing my friend something fierce.  We had a total blast these last 4 days and I was sad to see the day come when I had to put her on a plane and home to her kids and hubby.

Somebody save me..............my cd's I keep in my car SUCK big time.  I'm about to fling them out across the yard!  OMG the only decent one I have is the empty case of Tim McGraw.  Where'd my CD go????

Morning Miss MoMo . . .you and Rhonda . . . it's probably a good thing you don't live closer . . . the state would never recover from the two of you constantly being together!  So glad you had a great time . . . so sad you had to pay for it so dearly after she left!

OH . .. HAPPY BIRTHDAY RHONDA!!!!!

So right after the earthquake yesterday morning . . . which wasn't felt on the ground . . .but OMG on the 29th floor . . . our blinds were swaying a full foot for 1-1/2 - 2 minutes . . . nasuea time for sure . . . I get a call from my son . . . he starts work in ! GONE!!!!  Quite a day here!

Hopefully Michelle T goes home today . . . she was sounding hopefull last night . . . and how about our other newbie (sorry . . .I CAN'T think of names this morning . . . I was celebrating last night and I'm a bit . . . slow??) . . .Hope your surgery was quick, easy and you are ready to start on your journey!

Good morning Cali,

I had a quite night, went to dinner and then the treadmill.  Was going to walking in the neighborhood up here but the wind came up and it was getting COLD! 

Its funny when I checked in they asked if my DH and daughter were coming this week.  I have been here too long!  Well time to get cleaned up and on the road.  Have a great day.

Good Morning Mo and the Cali Gang!!

First off....Happy Birthday Rhonda!!  I hope you have a great day with your family!!

I feel for you Mo.  What a very, very long day/night for you.  Hopefully the dreaded jury duty won't last long and you can go home and get some well deserved sleep. 

I have had a couple of busy days here.  We have had a special speaker at church so we have been there every day since sunday.  In fact, I had to do 3 services on Sunday.  At least they are feeding us at the night services so I don't have to worry about dinner.  Tonight is the last night though.  I am going home after work and sleeping for a little bit before church.  I need the nap today.

I got to see my dad and sister this weekend.  It has been over a year since I have seen either of them.  It always feels weird around them because it brings up body image issues.  I know I have lost weight but I am still MO and bigger than my sister (although she has her own weight issues now).  My dad had to bring up the weight issues of my kids (like I don't realize they have issues) which bring back old memories and hurt feelings.  I have now come to know (with the help of a good friend) that I don't need to live up to the expectations of who my dad thinks I should be.  I have to please me and only me.  I spent my life trying to be what I thought he would want but not anymore.  I am a new woman and not the little girl who needs daddy's approval.

stacie...my heart hurts for you as i read this... our struggle with MO is a very hard one, on so many levels...

we beat ourselves up enough, and then to have a parent bring up tender areas... well... not fair!! And when he mentions YOUR kids weight issues, well, hello, HE is the parent of kids w/weight issues, so no room to talk!

I like your new mantra at the end of the post:

Good Morning California!

I can't believe I woke up at 4:30 am, even though school is officially done for this summer.  I took every appointment on my calendar today (more "to-do's" than appointments) and I moved them to tomorrow.  I am so in need of a do nothing day and I'm taking it today.  Lay around, catch up on DVR shows, whatever I feel like doing.  Just one day.........is that terrible?  I may even be a total slouch and play my online game today. 

I'm thinking about Diane, having her surgery today.  I hope all goes well and there will be an update soon.  In the meantime I'm praying.

Happy Birthday to Ms. Rhonda. 

Hoping Michelle is able to come home today.

I can't remember all the posts, but I tried to sent messages on the individual posts beacuse I never remember everything on the morning post, so forgive me.

I did manage to run home most of the way from my Final Exam yesterday.  I made it from Newhope and Warner to Bella Terra Mall.  But at 2:30 in the afternoon, it was too hot and I just couldn't go any farther.  I paid for it last night with dizziness and nausea, from not enough water in the heat I'm sure. 

And I received my final Grade for Algebra.  I received a "C" on the Final Exam and a "B" in the class overall.  I need to be happy with that, but this is my first "B".    since starting back to college.  Honestly, I need to let go of the perfectionism I put on myself and realize I'm really doing ok. 

So, today brings, much needed R and R.  Maybe I'll get dressed for Taco Tuesday and the Farmer's Market in Huntington Beach today, we'll see.  It may just be a PJ day.

I hope everyone here on the California Boards has an awesome day.   Please take good care of yourselves.  We all deserve that.

I made it from Newhope and Warner to the Bella Terra Mall and the heat just sucked it all out of me.     Ugh!  I made it about 5 miles though.
